The Abbey School has always benefited from lots of light coming in through large windows. On our recent blog visit we were delighted to see the same big windows on the new build classrooms! 

We also had the opportunity to go up on the new roof, giving us a great view over the school's expanded footprint. The yellow colour in the pictures is a preservative applied to the wood before insulation and waterproofing. 

The underfloor heating and floor screed will be taking place shortly. 

It was great to see the very smart meeting room and office now complete in place of the old changing rooms. This really is such a useful space for the school to now have. 

The coming weeks will in some ways be the toughest of the entire project for students and staff, with space in the school further reduced due to the building works. But looking at the transformation to date, the pain will definitely be worth it!
