Whilst the school students, teachers and support staff take a well-deserved break for the summer holiday, at O&D construction it is full steam ahead! Health and Safety is of paramount importance on all construction sites but a working school obviously brings extra challenges. The 6 week summer break creates a window of opportunity to move Project 22 forward without the same restricted hours term time creates for heavy goods movements and material deliveries.

As always Site Manager Jacques was happy to show us around the rapidly developing site, pointing out that the brickwork and blockwork on the four classrooms and toilet block is now complete. The roof steels are also installed and work on the all-important roof has now commenced. It was also really exciting to see the floor slab for the sports hall has also now been poured and its large footprint looks really impressive!
